Mitsubishi Headlights FAQ

How Often Do the Headlights on a Mitsubishi Get Replaced?

If they're halogen headlights, every couple years. If they're Xenon/high-intensity discharge (HID), every three years. If they're LED, if the bulbs or electronics fail. (This can go for other lighting, too -- tail lights included.)

How Much Does Replacing Mitsubishi Headlights Cost?

Most of the time, because it's just a case of bad bulbs, replacing them is relatively inexpensive, often running $125 to $150 or so. Cost can vary by type, though. Halogen and LED headlights, commonest in everyday models like Mitsubishi Mirage, can be on the cheaper side. It's with Xenon/HID headlights that things get a little pricier; these are the headlights found in many Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution models, because of how well they fit in the sports cars' narrower housings.

Can I Replace My Mitsubishi Headlights Myself?

Yes; just be sure to get OEM replacements, for quality and guaranteed fit. If you're not sure how to install them, though, don't worry; a Mitsubishi service center can help.
