How Do I Install a Roof Rail System on My Mitsubishi?
It's straightforward, whether you're driving an SUV like Mitsubishi Outlander, a car like Mitsubishi Mirage, or otherwise. First, clean the roof of your vehicle; it'll help the attachment points on the rails lie flush. Then, grab your rail towers, rail feet, and fitting kit; follow your owner's manual on process, as how to set up a roof rail on your model might vary. Generally, though, you should do the following.
- Loosen the foot mounts' screws just enough for the crossbars to fit between them.
- Put the crossbars between the mounts and measure the correct width between them; then tighten them in.
- Attach the rail's pads and caps to its mounts and crossbars, respectively.
- Center the rail on your vehicle's roof and position its front away from the windshield's top.
- Lock the front foot mounts on your car doors' rims in place. Then, use any included clips to tighten them.
