            • Search by a part name. Example: water pump.
            • Be less specific. Example: brake instead of ceramic brake.
            • Remove information such as make, year or model.

            Mitsubishi Pedals and Pads FAQ

What are the Three Pedals a Mitsubishi Can Have?

That depends on the model. All cars and SUVs have accelerators/throttles (gas pedals) and brakes (brake pedals). Only some, however, have clutches (clutch pedals). (Think vehicles with manual transmissions -- some Mitsubishi sports cars, like Lancer Evolution, for example, plus some Mitsubishi SUVs made for performance, like Outlander Sport.)

The throttle speeds a vehicle up when it's pressed. The brakes obviously slow the vehicle down when their pedal's pressed. The clutch, however, allows changing gears when speeding up or braking; more specifically, it temporarily disengages the engine and transmission, making the shift process smoother.

Can I Customize the Pedals in My Mitsubishi?

Yes, with the right pedal kit or pad. Put simply, you can mod everything from the pedals themselves to their linkages and pedal position sensors, and you can add covers. There are several ways you can go, actually.

For one, you can put a pad or cover on an older, more worn pedal; a non-skid rubber one's a good bet here. Secondly, you can swap, say, an automatic transmission for a manual; besides some transmission parts, you'd need a pedal conversion kit with a linkage for that upgrade. Third, you can put in a custom pedal or billet pedal, in one fetching finish and texture or another -- for example, an aluminum one -- which can get your ride's interior more of the attention it deserves.

Whether you're looking to mod the pedals in your Mitsubishi, equip them with pads, or full-on replace the old with the new, we stock what your project needs: the genuine OEM article, guaranteed to fit and priced competitively. Not sure how to install something? A Mitsubishi dealer can help; feel free to schedule a service appointment.
